Fermentation? What is the use of pasteurised fermented food?

Fermented foods or drinks contain live, positive bacteria that can make your intestines (digestive tract) healthier.

Fermented foods or drinks contain live, positive bacteria that can make your intestines (digestive tract) healthier. This is an added benefit of fermented foods and unpasteurised drinks. Therefore, if you want to give your digestion and immune system an extra helping hand, it is a good idea to consume raw, unpasteurised drinks and food every now and then.

Pasteurised fermented drinks and foods still have many advantages over their unfermented counterparts. The only and important side note is that pasteurised fermented drinks and foods cannot provide you with the live bacteria of your immune system (digestive tract). For example, raw lacto-fermented drinks or foods that have not been pasteurised prevent the growth of shigella, salmonella and E.coli bacteria.
